Funky Darryl James aka DJ Funky is one of the South’s premiere DJs and has been a staple in the Atlanta music scene since the 1990’s. He started his illustrious music career as a DJ founding the legendary Legion of Doom DJs in 1995 creating a multitude of mixtapes and spinning in nearly every club in the "ATL". He was also a featured DJ and radio personality on Jermaine Dupree’s So So Def Radio on CBS/V103fm interviewing the entertainment industry’s elite. DJ Funky is one of the four founding members of the Coalition DJs who are responsible for breaking most of the new music you hear through Atlanta’s adult entertainment venues. In August of 2013 DJ Funky and the Coalition DJs were featured in the Wall Street Journal’s article entitled “The Rise of Atlanta's Strip-Club DJs as Music Moguls”. Fast forward today, Coalition Djs have thrown a sold out concert at the masquerade in Atlanta. He has been featured in The Pressure TV, BET's Rap City, Superfly The Movie Soundtrack. He also engineered Homicide ft. Snoop Dogg on Future's album 'Pluto". Funky is a Co-Founder of Funky OG cannabis strain in California. He also has hemp products and merchandise including Funky OG Southern Peach Tea, & Hemp solutions. Funky Productions LLC has been a successful company producing over 13 albums since 2008 (Empire distribution)
