The original DJ Fresh is a 37+ yr DJ veteran, 26+ yr broadcast veteran with 16+ yrs in radio programming (for Urban & Rhythm/CHR formats). Not to mention, DJ Fresh is a proud combat veteran; who served proudly in the U.S. Army in both Desert Shield & Desert Storm, then later became a Commissioned Officer.

His first big break came as a producer for the Tom Joyner Morning Show back in 1997 at WKZJ 95.7 (Urban AC) in Lagrange, GA; followed by wknds on WFXE Foxie 105 (Urban) in Columbus, GA; that lead his talents to Montgomery, AL where he became #1 at nights for 9.79 Jamz WJWZ (1999). His passion for music soon landed him at HOT 107.1 WTLZ (Saginaw, MI) (2001); a major promotion to APD/Mixshow Director in 2004 lead him to Jacksonville, NC 101.1 & 92.3 The Beat of Carolina (WQSL/WQZL); when the opportunity came in 2007 to put on a start up Hip Hop Station in Huntsville, AL with Hot 103.5 WHWT, DJ Fresh jumped at the opportunity to program, image, mold talent, & compete in a growing market where he eventually won the 2012 “Small Market Rhythm PD of the Year”. He continues to lead by example with his passion for music, promotions, imaging, writing, & mentoring the next generation of urban broadcasters.

In 2023 you’ll find him in local Elementary/HS classrooms , Alabama State University (plus other colleges), & various Programming Panels being accessible to those who seek to learn.
