I have been abundantly blessed to live my dreams with the privilege of a tremendous career with General Electric (GE). A highlight was my appointment by the board of directors as GE’s first black female corporate officer.
My career culminated at the very top of corporate and philanthropic achievement as President of The GE Foundation and Chief Diversity Officer. I achieved many firsts along the way and am proud to have created pathways for others to realize their career goals and dreams.
Some have described me as a unicorn using my “horn” to shatter glass ceilings, while bringing scores of others along—many into the C-suite.
My 2nd chapter began in 2017 when I established Corporate Playbook™, a business consulting firm that specializes in Executive Coaching and Strategic Solutions.

In 2018 I launched Dining With Deb™, a dining experience that brings professional women together, to cross racial, religious, and political barriers & to drive meaningful conversation. It has been a powerful and enlightening experience with 200 individuals attending the first event and last year there were 300 guests. The first virtual event took place in April of this year and I look forward to continuing to cross barriers with future virtual events.
