Giving leadership to introduce ICT as a subject in the school curriculum in Sri Lanka during 2000-2005 is one of great achievements. I was responsible for preparing ICT Policy for school education in 2000. This policy was accepted by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2001. According to this policy a subject called GIT was introduced in 2001 and subsequently ICT was introduced as a subject for GCE OL and AL.
