Growing up outside of the hip hop influence in North Carolina, 25 year old Devan Dewalt began producing sounds varying from neo soul to experimental hip hop. Earning the mantra of "Melodist", the collection of sultry harmonies and euphonic piano undertones bring a peaceful touch to his sound. Devan adopted the name "DEViANt" as a claim to going against the traditional style of the modern genre. In 2017 he began working with an unnamed artist incubation group to grow his sound and influence.
