I’m a published writer and award-winning storyteller. My stories have been featured in the Washington Post, The Moth Podcast, Seattle NPR affiliate KNKX, Speak Up Storytelling, and several other outlets.
One of my Moth stories—The Loudest Whisper—was selected to air along a story told by Rev. Al Sharpton’s for Black History Month 2020, an podcast episode downloaded over 1 million times and in 49 different countries.
I’m currently working on my debut book - a painfully honest memoir revealing hard truths about how I lost my humanity and convince myself it was no big deal until I became I became a dad.
After finding my own voice, I founded Unreeling Storytelling—a Brooklyn-based organization providing a platform for people of color, women, and others who have been pushed to the margins of our culture to share their hard truths.
I am a Southern California native, but live in Brooklyn, NY with my wife and our 6- and 9-year-old sons.
