First Black Mayor and First Elected Female Mayor of Elaine, Arkansas (Elected 2022) and the
Founder of The Descendants of the Elaine Massacre of 1919 (DOEM1919).
DOEM 1919 exists to honor and remember our ancestors who stood and bravely fought against injustice, and to amplify the voices of their descendants so that their stories are told. We also work boldly to reclaim the narrative, truthfully educate the masses about the Elaine Massacre, fight to erase inequalities and address the trans-generational impact on Elaine and generations of Descendants.
