Bio

I am a theater director, playwright, and performer. I created my artistic work in two cities, namely Jakarta and Bekasi, Indonesia. I co-founded the Artery Performa group in Jakarta in 2013. My theatrical directing works with Artery Performa include: Abracadabra Postpartum (2016); Bantar Gebang Mountains (2018); Underscore: Copy Paste Sae (2019); Clothesline of People (2020). I attended performance art workshops, including with mentor Melati Suryodarmo (2015) and a number of workshops in the Undisclosed Territory event at Studio Plesungan, Solo, including with mentor Boris Nieslony (2014). I involved in the activism of the PADJAK group (Performance Art in Jakarta, 2013-2017). In addition, experiences in theater collaborations include: Minaret of Memory (production of Teater Garasi, 2017), Dancing Queen (production of Bandar Teater Jakarta, 2017), A New Normal Cinderella (Asian Performing Arts Forum, Japan, 2018); The Diary of Voyager with Shan Dong Ye Troupe (Taiwan, 2019). I also involved in the Dramaturgy Assembly forum initiated by Teater Garasi, Yogyakarta. Now, I also work as a member of the Theater Committee, Jakarta Arts Council, period 2020-2023.
