Jesus Martinez is a producer/engineer and requintista based in Los Angeles, CA. He began to play requinto at the age of 11 under his father’s instruction. The requinto is a unique tenor guitar with latin roots and classical background. Later on he commenced his academic career at Berklee College of Music finishing with a BA in Production & Engineering.

In 2011, he became a member of Tres Souls, a trio embracing the sounds of the 1940’s bolero genre. Tres Souls performs around the greater Los Angeles area. In 2019 Tres Souls released an EP which Jesus arranged, produced, and engineered at his studio Decibel Studios.

Jesus began Decibel Studios during the creation of Tres Souls EP. The studio focuses on recording and arranging regional Mexican music as well as latin guitar. During the pandemic Jesus created The Breakfast Table, a music series that brings you live music in times when we need to be socially distant. It show cases the music versatility that LA holds. Artists that have been feature include; Lupita Infante, Hermanos Herrera and many more.
