Homesteader, goat lady, health coach, and self-sufficiency expert.
In 2002 we moved from the suburbs of Chicago to 32 acres on a creek in the middle of nowhere. We built our own home and began growing most of our own food. Goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, and turkeys supply our meat, eggs, and dairy products while an organic garden and orchard provide our fruits and vegetables.
I am the author of six books, including Homegrown and Handmade, Raising Goats Naturally, and Goats Giving Birth. I also teach people how to grow their own food and raise livestock through online courses, my podcast, and my website, ThriftyHomesteader.com.
