Ugh. Bios. A whole life wrapped up in a few words....

Human being set out to shorten and accelerate the bend toward justice.

Wife. Momma bear to 2 kiddos and 1 fur baby. Daughter of immigrants. First generation Latina from Houston, TX who ended up at east coast Ivies. Now back in my hometown focused on advancing equity and expanding opportunity. And because it’s Houston... disaster response and recovery.

Love learning, applying learning, data, work across sectors, behavioral insights, social psych, policy (not so much politics), design and systems thinking, food + drink, good design, yoga. But most of all I love people and the power of people coming together with the belief they can make things better in big ways. We can.

Have aimed to put my skills to work in the context of nonprofits, government, and (now) philanthropy.

Personal growth focus - maintaining better balance and keeping up with the good habits that keep me sane.
