David Kirkpatrick is a journalist, the founder and editor-in-chief of Techonomy Media, and author of the best-selling book “The Facebook Effect: The Inside Story of the Company That Is Connecting the World,” published in 32 languages. He spent 25 years at Fortune Magazine, and is a contributing editor at Bloomberg Television and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Techonomy’s conferences gather leaders to discuss how tech changes everything and to help build a better society. Along with frequent virtual roundtables, it will host two major virtual events in 2021: Digitally United on March 22-23, exploring the many ways tech can bring us together and remedies for the ways it has fractured us, and The Health+Wealth of America, April 23-24, on achieving progress for the country in this difficult time. Techonomy normally hosts two major annual physical events—in New York in May and a fall retreat in California.
