👨🏻‍💻I am an engineering leader with running and scaling distributed systems and management experience spanning 25 years.

My most recent experience includes:

2.5 years as Engineering leader at Riot Games where I led a team of 68 engineers responsible for foundational RESTful services. I built platforms that enabled internal game teams and a broader ecosystem to create games. A total of 5 games were developed, supporting over 100 million monthly players.

5 years at Amazon Web Services, where I built and established the S3 Customer Experience team. In, this role catered to the needs of large enterprise customer requests. By collecting customer problems and needs as a basis, I prioritized and drove features and changes into the S3 system. This meant aligning and driving new API changes, security changes, feature requests, and API deprecations. Once these changes were pushed, I rolled out changes to ancillary SDK teams and other AWS service teams. Once engineering changes were complete, I aligned support teams, sales teams, and operations. Using the customer as the inial push for the flywheel, I built organizational mechanisms that championed impactful change on behalf of the customer. I served as the final escalation path for all S3 customers, including Apple, Pinterest, AirB&B, Netflix, Uber, among others.
