Founder & creator of @OoneysCrafts, Darlene Guatemala is a Salvi-American who grew up in North East LA, California. Wanting to see more representation of Salvadorean & Central American cultura in her everyday life, she started adding splashes of heritage into her crafting talents. She grew up listening and seeing the experiences of her parents that journeyed to the US from Chalatenango & Usulutan, and it inspired her art. During the day, she works as a Virtual Education Development Specialist for a corporate company, and in her free time she works on crafting, passionately singing, and enjoying all things 90s. As a Salvi creator, she hopes to see people enjoying her creations and celebrating the Salvadorean collective. Darlene is passionate about creating inclusive spaces so that everyone may express themselves, their art, and journey.
