Greek-Cypriot/ British actress with an O1 visa. Speaks native English and Greek, fluent French and conversational Levantine Arabic and German.
Daphne was born in Cyprus and trained at Oxford university and LAMDA. She was cast as regular character nurse Nadia Talianos on BBC’s Casualty (2006-8) and then went on to play Sara in House of Saddam (HBO/BBC), Gabrielle in Dream Team (Sky One) and Janita in The Amazing Mrs Pritchard (BBC). She played Connie in Polanski’s film The Ghost Writer, Thalia in Born To Be Murdered by Luca Guadagnino and Theresa in The Fourth Kind by Universal Pictures. She played the lead female role in The Palace by Anthony Maras that won awards and critical acclaim at festivals including Melbourne, Sydney and Telluride. She also plays the lead in independent films Mesocafé and award-winning Always In The Present.
She played the lead role in Greek language film Siege on Liperti Street written/directed by Stavros Pamballis which won the Audience award and the International Critics Award at Thessaloniki Film Festival 2019. It also won Best Feature and Best Director at Los Angeles Greek Film Festival.
Voice work highlights include playing the eponymous heroine in BBC Radio 4’s continuing drama series Modesty Blaise and various warriors and goddesses in Assassins Creed:The Final Odyssey.
Stage highlights include playing Elaine in Camelot at the Crucible theatre in Sheffield (chosen by Mark Lawson as one of the top ten shows of 2015) and Sophia in Hidden in the Sand at Trafalgar Studios. She is also part of the City Stories theatre company that performed at St James’ theatre in London, the Oxford Playhouse, Wilton’s Music Hall and 59E59 Theater in NYC.
