Dr. Danielle Laws-Wallace, currently works as a Program Director for a Child welfare . Danielle has worked in child welfare for over 7 years. Dr. Danielle completed her Doctoral degree in Social Work 9/2023. Danielle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Service with an emphasis in Child and Family Welfare and a Master of Social Work Degree. Danielle displays strong cultural competency and interpersonal communication skills. Danielle is a strong advocate for the African American community on the South side of Chicago in at-risk areas. Danielle works tirelessly to address and correct the disparities African Americans face and how this population is disproportionately represented. Danielle is currently working to ensure policy makers reform the Illinois African American Family Commission Act of 1994. An executive order which was put in place to assist DCFS in developing and implementing programs and policies that affect Illinois child welfare system.
