Daniel is a senior executive with expertise in rapid revenue growth, demand generation and new product development across software and internet industries. With more than 30 years of high-tech marketing experience, Daniel has been Chief Marketing Officer/VP Marketing at 3 public and 5 private companies. He is a results-driven marketing expert with an extensive track record for delivering extraordinary revenue growth for companies. He has served as CEO for Kinfo, CMO for Tumbleweed (NASDAQ: TMWD) and TrialPay and VP Product Management & Marketing for Macrovision (NASDAQ: MVSN) and ACNielsen (NYSE: ART) and ActiveDecisions. At CMO-ToGo Daniel has been acting CMO at Loggly, Duo Security, 2Checkout, Workshare, and BitzerMobile and Head of Marketing for Indigo. His clients include Apple, Linkedin, Symantec, Yahoo, MillerHeiman, InfoGroup, and a number of VC-backed startups.

Daniel hails from Silicon Valley and has worked in the Internet space for the past 2 decades. He has deep expertise in every element of the marketing mix including: vision creation, product positioning, product ideation, product management, roadmapping, marketing automation, and demand generation. Over his career he has authored an extensive library of marketing frameworks and templates that represent the best practices in most marketing processes.

He has expertise in B2B SaaS, B2C SaaS, enterprise applications (ecommerce, CRM, SFA, BI, Security) and software tools. Over 14 years experience in on-demand, software-as-a-service (SaaS). Executive and board level experience in both start-up & public companies. His specialties include Marketing Automation, product strategy, demand generation, customer acquisition, product management, social media marketing, brand building, agile development, marketing ROI measurement, Eloqua, Hubspot, Marketo Certified Expert.

Daniel is highly entrepreneurial, having run two venture-backed startups and has raised $19M in venture capital. In 1997, he co-founded ActiveDecisions, a Software-as-a-Service company that was acquired by KNOVA Software (NASDAQ: KNVS). He has executive and board level experience in both start-up & public companies and received his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
