“Less is Freedom, Less is environmentally friendly.”

Daisuke Yosumi is a Japanese author who advocates a “Zen Life”. This has two facets- first is a minimal and natural lifestyle away from a mass consumption society. Second is the pursuit of one’s own life following their true soul.

Since 2010, Daisuke has led a sustainable and circular lifestyle beside a lake surrounded by native bush in New Zealand. There he lives self suficiently- growing organic vegetables, picking fruits from the bush, catching wild fish, pumping pure water from the lake, and using excellent compost.

Daisuke is an ambassador for Greenpeace Japan, Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, PowerShift(to green energy), United People, and sustainable outdoor clothing brand- Häglofs.

Previously a music producer at Sony Music and Warner Music in Tokyo, he worked on 10 releases that reached one million hits, selling over 20 million records in total.
