A room with an evolutionary view
Why do people what they do?
As an evolutionary psychologist I’m specialized in brain functioning in general and individual decision making in particular. We - Marie-Anne Simons (2019) and professor Harry van de Wiel - have developed a scientific framework at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. It comprises a method and a visual test to understand, explain and predict individual differences in decision making for females and males separately. For this we re-engineered the evolution of humans over the last 1,8 million years. The Dutch test is available at MatchMyMind.nl. The English version will be available this Fall. Contrary to popular belief our fundamental motivation is sexual selection and not survival! Sexual selection was the reason that the first brain evolved over 500 million years ago. Our book may be published before end 2021.
