Colin Goldberg coined the term “Techspressionism” in 2011; it was first described as a movement in the 2014 WIRED article “If Picasso had a Macbook Pro"
Since launching in August 2020, Techspressionism.com has grown into an online community of over 200 artists working with technology from more than 30 countries.
The artist group is currently partnered with the online exhibition platform Kunstmatrix Technologies GMBH for NFT Now, an international juried CryptoArt exhibition now open for collectors and viewers at Techspressionism.com. The show, curated by SuperRare panelist Anne Spalter, was selected as an Artnet Editor’s Pick during Frieze Week.
The first physical group exhibition of Techspressionist artworks will open at Southampton Arts Center in Southampton NY in April 2022. The project’s advisor is Helen Harrison, Director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton NY.
