📚Before running his consulting company, Carlos was an educator, coach and mentor that has taught in and worked with some of the top charter schools in the country (Inwood Academy for Leadership, YES Prep & KIPP to name a few). His last role was as the Restorative Justice Coordinator at KIPP Houston High School where he developed his restorative practice curriculum.

📺His work within KIPP and the Houston community has been featured on ABC 13 News.

🎙As a Speaker and Consultant he helps schools understand the importance of Restorative Practices and helps them implement the practice with his Translating Success Curriculum. His program includes Restorative Practice Professional Development Sessions for staff, Engagements for students, the Translating Success Curriculum, which is aligned to ELA TEKS and includes 30 plus lesson plans, and resources such as staff & student binders with activities and literature, to help implement restorative practices within classrooms.

⏳As a child, Carlos was a success at sports but lagged behind his siblings in academics. After reflecting on his circumstances, Carlos realized that he could succeed in school by applying the same principles that made him a good athlete to being a good student. He translated his success from one area of his life to another.
