Born in Milano in 1955, Cino Zucchi graduated at M.I.T. and at the Politecnico di Milano where he is presently chair professor of Architectural and Urban Design.
He has been lecturer and visiting professor in many universities around tue world including Harvard GSD, ETH Zürich and ETSAM Madrid, president of the jury of the Mies Van der Rohe Award 2015 and member of several scientific committees.
Author of several books and essays, he participated to many editions of the Milano Triennale and the Venice Biennale, where he has been curator of the Italian Pavilion 2014.
He is the lead designer of CZA-Cino Zucchi Architetti, a studio based in Milano operating on a variety of themes ranging from urban design to landscape, architecture and exhibition design. Among the most well-known ones are the urban renewals of the ex-Junghans factory site in Venice, the Alfa-Romeo Portello area in Milano, the Salewa HQ in Bozen, the Keski Pasila station area in Helsinki and the National Car Museum and the Nuvola Lavazza campus in Turin.
In his (very scarce) free time he collects CDs of totally unknown indie rock bands, Sofubi vinyl toys, chapati bread rollers, die-cast models of submarines and Kokeshi wooden dolls.
