About Dr. Chy
Dr. A. Chyrisse Wilson is the President & CEO of IndustrySource. IndustrySource is a professional Leadership and Educational development service that provides impactful training and consulting for business and educational solutions.
Dr. Chy also serves as a notable Distinguished Faculty Professor of Business Technology at a college in Houston, Texas. As a professor, she has presented at faculty meetings and in online conference platforms. Prior to her work in higher education, she thrived and retired from municipal government serving as a long-time City Official for Houston City Council and the Mayor’s Office. Dr. Chy’s career began in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb, and Rotan Mosle, the first Texas Investment firm to have a seat on the NYSE.
She has extensive work experience in creating and developing leadership curriculum and training as a professor, a certified facilitator with Franklin Covey, facilitator at the City of Houston’s Corporate University, Texas Southern University’s (TSU) Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland College of Public Affairs Executive MPA program, TSU’s Human Resources Department, and Houston Community College’s Parent Academy and Workforce Development program.
Appointed by the mayor of her city, Dr. Chy, a seasoned 25-year senior executive, served as one of the highest-ranking African-American females in the administration at the time. As a C-Suite executive, her services included oversight of the Affirmative Action division, oversight of the Houston Housing Authority, oversight of the Mayor’s Advisory personnel, oversight of the Redevelopment of 4th Ward, liaison to the Mayoral Ministerial Alliance, liaison to the Mayor’s Women’s Advisory Committee, liaison to the Cultural Arts community, liaison to the Gulf Coast Regional Workforce development/Houston Works program, liaison to the Houston business community, liaison to the International Business Development core (MABIAD), liaison to the African-American community, and administrator of the Mayor’s Student Internship program. One of her greatest project accomplishments under mayoral leadership included researching, advocating, and laying the foundation for Houston and visitors to enjoy Houston’s first African-American repository - The African-American Library at the Gregory School which is currently open in Houston’s Fourth Ward.
Dr. Chy has received numerous accolades and awards for service to her community.
