Farm boy, creative director, record producer, founder of Paxico Records
BIO: Christopher Hund is a record producer, creative director, and community organizer from Paxico, Kansas. Hund graduated with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied photography. In 2009, he created what was to be the foundation of his record label Paxico Records.
Over time, he became known as a foundational element of the East Coast’s beat scene movement by initiating the Powwaw streaming series in 2010 and launching an annual tri-city exhibition focused on cassette culture called Tape Meet.
Hund’s art direction and production projects include collaborations with artists including MF DOOM, Madlib, Fourtet, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, The Alchemist, Mndsgn, Sudan Archives, Exile, Daedelus, and Ras_G.
He has also produced projects for clients including Sony Music, Universal, Stones Throw, Fat Beats, Red Bull Music Academy, Jive, Waxpoetics, Fania, Leaving Records, and The End Records.
