Matthew (Chewy) Smith is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Also Organics, a personal wellness products company based in Nashville, Tenn. that offers the finest, full-spectrum, whole-plant CBD and CBG (Cannabidiol and Cannabigerol) portfolio —all made from 100% American grown organic hemp.
As CEO, Smith is focused on building a top-quality and trusted CBD products company. He was inspired to create Also Organics out of personal family needs for quality alternative therapies that leverage the potential health benefits of full-spectrum, whole-plant CBD formulations. He is guided by a passion for transparency, accountability and sustainable solutions.
Smith is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than 20 years managing ventures in the music and entertainment industries. Smith was previously partner and co-founder of Jobu Presents, President of Blue Dot Entertainment Group and a partner at CID Presents. Prior to CID Entertainment being acquired by Carlyle Capital in 2015, Smith was Vice President of event productions for Warner Music Group. Prior to WMG, Smith was a partner and the VP of Operations for Bulldog Entertainment Group which was acquired by WMG in 2007. He also helped found a record label, SCI Fidelity Records, which served as a national model for other independent labels.
Smith earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. He is a member of the Tennessee Hemp Industries Association (TNHIA) and an Eagle Scout.

He resides in Nashville with his wife, Mandy, and their 3 children.
