~Found out I had extremely high blood pressure after a car accident landed me in the Emergency Room.
~Diagnosed with chronic interstitial nephritis, kidney failure, a few months later. 4/1997 I still joke that my parents jinxed me by donating a car to the Kidney Foundation. 🤪
~Married my husband Scott👩🏼🤝👨🏻 💖
~Started in center hemodialysis in 2005
~Lost hearing in left ear in fall 2005
~Lost hearing in right ear 2006
(the hearing loss was most likely caused by either the buildup of toxins in my body from kidney failure, or from dialysis.)
~Wear 🦻🏻hearing aids🦻🏻 in both ears
~Received First kidney transplant 4/28/2010~Named this kidney George
~Started 💊Pharmacy Technician💊program at community college
~Adopted our furbaby Jojo
~Finished Pharmacy Tech program with straight As in all classes
~Took national exam, passed and got Pharmacy Tech License (received my license while I was in the hospital for rejection treatment)
~Kidney Transplant Rejection Episode
~Started 🎼singing 🎤with the community choir again in spring 2015…I thought I wouldn’t be able to with hearing aids, but I’m doing it anyway!😍
~Started in center hemodialysis again
~Gastric sleeve to help me lose weight to get a second transplant
~First transplanted kidney removed due to a transplant rejection
~Received Second kidney transplant on 2/26/2018~Named this kidney Faith (feel free to ask me why!🥰)
