Blood On The Razor Wire. One Mans Journey Through The Violent Federal Prison System.

At the age of 24 years old I was sentenced to a 40 year federal mandatory minimum for my involvement in a non-violent drug crime. I spent most of my time in the law library fighting for my freedom. I became known as the best jail house lawyer in the federal prison system. I was able to help many men get a second chance to re-claim their lives Through the courts. I helped at least two men that have life sentences walk out of prison free since my release. In 2019 I wrote my own pro se motion that eventually led to my freedom on June 25, 2020. My sentence was reduced from 40 years to 20. The sentencing judge found that based on my rehabilitation which included earning a college degree and changes in the law that I deserve a second chance to reclaim my life. The 17 1/2 years that I spent in prison was my long walk to freedom.
I have helped over 100 people gain their freedom. Also taught men how to read and write in prison.
