💭Social action has helped me find my purpose. I have a passion for making a difference and have been involved with various youth organisations including:
- NCS: National Citizen Service - After completing the programme in 2019 I became a part of the regional youth board representing North West & I’m involved with my local action group.
- My Life My Say - I became a young leader in April 2020 and helped campaign for young people’s voices to be heard during the covid-19 pandemic.
- ONE campaign - In February 2020 I attended Parliament to lobby MPs into supporting the replenishment of Gavi the vaccine alliance which has helped to prevent over 14 million future deaths.
- I will be sharing any future social action work @caitsadvocacy

🧠Having previously struggled with my mental health I want to use my voice to help others that may be struggling.
- I have completed suicide prevention training with Zero Suicide Alliance and hope to volunteer for Shout crisis text line when I turn 18.
- I have participated & organised various mental health projects including creating an educational booklet and my ongoing project @ourmessagesofhope.

👩🏻‍⚕️I’m currently studying my A levels with the hope of going to university in September to study children’s nursing.
- I spent a lot of last year in hospital with an undiagnosed chronic illness and this experience inspired me to become a nurse.
- I helped care for my terminally ill Nanna for around 2 years, learning basic medical skills whilst developing my emotional resilience. The support my family received pushed me to pursue a career in healthcare.

👑Miss Teen Cumbria 2020/21
- I will be competing in the Miss Teen Great Britain finals in October.
- My platform is #letstalkmh sharing stories and information around mental health to educate and break the stigma.
- I’m currently fundraising for Together for Short Lives, the leading UK charity for children with life threatening & life limiting illnesses. - so far I’ve raised over £2,000.
