Design is a practice, not a profession. I am a true creative with a career history that reflects my inventive nature and outside-the-box approach to all that surrounds me. After receiving my BFA, I began my career in marketing as a creative director in the music industry, where I spent the next several years overseeing design, leading teams of creatives, and finding innovative ways to combine technology and art to solve problems—a theme that recurs throughout my career.
Over the past six years, I have completely transformed the creative culture at Mohawk Flooring North America and positioned the company as an award-winning leader of brand innovation and storytelling among its industry peers. My rise to the top of Mohawk’s creative department was swift. I came to Mohawk Industries as a digital art director, but in less than a year, I was promoted to senior manager of creative media, overseeing a team of designers in the creative development of video, photography, and multimedia design. After just two years, I was promoted to creative director, where I continued to lead and inspire a team of designers by fostering a culture of creative excellence. Now, as vice president of creative media, I lead the vision for growth and development of creative and digital solutions at Mohawk, continually seeking and leveraging the best of technology and innovation to find new ways to solve problems and tell the story of Mohawk’s brands and products. As much as I love building teams, I also love the processes that make them successful. In addition, I lead and sponsor technology implementations.
At Red Lab, we are passionate about creative from concept to consumption. I am very proud of my design, video, photography, digital experience, and operations teams, and what we continue to build at Mohawk, an empathy led human experience in-house agency.
