Back in 2005, I was told by my doctor that diabetics is knocking on my doors and instead of pills, he prescribed me pedals. I took the doctor's advice to heart, and went ahead and brought the first cycle of my adult life. The initial few days of cycling was a battle between mind and body, and slowly but steadily with each pedal, my mind prevailed and cycling became a way of life.

I ditched my four wheels and started cycling to work. Each day brought with it a new sense of achievement, joy and confidence. When I walked in, I went with a self assurance of doing things right. It set many things in mind to track and that reflected in my performance.

But the journey was not without setbacks. I had 2 major accidents and went under the knife for a corrective surgery to my left hand and shoulder, there are 3 big Titanium plates fixed in my hand and shoulder. Chances of getting back to cycling and going about my usual life looked bleak. Friends and well wishers advised against it, but I was determined. I was sure a way will open up if I keep my aspirations alive. A determined search for a better cycle took me to the Brompton center in Bangalore and I immediately got hooked to the cycle. I had found a new partner ! One which was foldable and will help me to avoid accidents by keeping the speed within 25kmh. Viola ! I was back on road in no time. Together, I and my Brompton have journeyed for 45000 kms till now and I have set my eyes on riding on to greater distances.

I work for a leading resort chain and my work takes me all over India. I travel with my Brompton, which has given me hope, confidence, recognition and success. Cycling is my way of telling the world that passion is everything. It will set everything right on track.
