Brittan began his transitional journey and discovered the support he needed was either extremely difficult to find or didn’t exist at all. In an effort to lift as he climbed, he established NGMT to support other men through their journey to living their authentic lives. Since, Hardgers has been featured in the Feb 2020 Empty Closet Magazine as well as the final cover of the empty closet June 2020. Radio appearances on “The Rundown with Racqui B.” on 105.5 The Beat, 100.9 WXIR “Tickle Me Tuesdays with Yolanda Smilez, “The Situation” on WAYO 104.3 FM, Rochester Free Radio 106.3 FM WRFZ “Real Talk With Martha Hope” and many others. Hardgers was awarded the Community Leadership Award by Rochester Black Pride in 2018, featured in Oct 2019 WXXI article and radio interview, “Rochesterian’s Celebrate Coming Out Day as Supreme Courts weighs in on employment rights for LGBTQ workers” Nov 2019, Delivered Key-Note at City of Rochester Trans Day of Remembrance 2019 and the Host Of Trans Day of Remembrance 2020, featured in the Trans-Awareness and Trans-Affirming Barber sections of the November 2019 Empty Closet Magazine, and participated in the MOCHA Center panel discussion, “The Real Talk”. In 2020, Brittan walked into his passion for activism and education; he has spoken at multiple marches and rallies. Due to covid Hardgers has had the opportunity to sit on multiple panels across the U.S. such as Emory University, Rochester Public Defender's Office, Liberating Black Voices and many more….consulting, educating and fighting for all black lives.
