Bio

Some consider me an entrepreneur and some call me a brand master. A lot of people call me Ganchu, the jack of trades.

To myself, I am an orphan of the Crazy Phallus, an artist in the head, a troubadour in the heart and farmer in the soul.

I quit a government job, working as an engineer and started a radio station; they did not play enough of Bob Dylan on the public broadcast station (the only channel back then), so I started my own radio station.

No training, no guidance, just passion.

It was my dream to play in a rock band, but there was no place to go to. I started the first live music club and named it 'Mojo Park'. I got myself a band we called our selves 'The Daydream Farmers'. I sucked big time at Music. So I moved on.

Mojo Park is still around and churning out young Bhutanese talents.

I got married and the wife got pregnant. I was always at work when the garbage truck came, if it came at all. My wife was at home but she was not in any condition to take out the garbage. The dogs would come at night and make a mess of it. I had to make time and take the stinking garbage in my car, atleast once every week, and drive 10kms to get it disposed off at a waste collection center. One night I decided to put an end to my frustrations. I built an app, using which I could request someone to pickup my garbage in exchange for a reward. It was 2019 and named it after the website I once started but the authorities shut me down in 2009.

Azha Pasa is my canvas for now.

'Breathe Bhutan' is a bespoke travel company my wife started in 2014. She is my boss. We host inspired travelers in Bhutan.
