About Me

Who I am and what I do should be obvious from the label—or is it?

My role as a leader in our business changes by the minute. For the most part, I spend my days with people—talking, strategising, encouraging, laughing, crying and enabling—sometimes seriously and sometimes terribly inappropriately!

So, there it is—my job is being a people's person, a communicator and an indirect architect of thought and creative deed. I haven’t perfected it yet, but I work at it daily.

I am an ambivert who is fuelled by the energy of people, but I draw most of my strength from focused alone time—but not for too long as that can lead to Weltschmerz.

My nature is to believe in the innate goodness of humanity, but I am sometimes cynical from experience that leads me to—momentarily—believe otherwise. I connect immediately with like-minded souls and love investing energy and time into understanding those on alternate wavelengths. I try to keep an open and enquiring mind—but know when it’s time to get a move on.

Experience helps shape me for the better—each, and, every, day.

What you see is what you get and I always second guess myself to ensure I am being authentic and honest.

Communication has been my life passion. I have an academic background in linguistics, foreign languages and education—I speak, and am certified to teach, English, Japanese and German—although my German has long since faded—schade!

I am intrigued how all types of audiences receive and digest information in the myriad channels at our continual distraction. I have a flair for all things creative and love to enable creativity through what I do.

I am passionate about embracing and promoting inclusion and diversity in all forms as it’s the sum of our differences that drives excellence for a better world.

My family, team and clients are everything to me—they sustain, challenge and drive me to get up every day to shave my head and make one more go of this amazing thing called life!
