Bio

My purpose and my mission is to champion for minority recruitment and retention, mentorships, career advancement and ensuring that the financial industry is fully REPRESENTED in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on all levels! I cannot change the world.. but I will help change the banking industry!

As a Servant Leader, I actively serve above 20 boards and councils in my community and state. I am known as a “firecracker” for my unapologetic authenticity and my courageous ability to professionally lead uncomfortable conversations to create a lasting impact. I fearlessly cause "good trouble."

Some of my greatest accomplishments include serving on both the DEI Council & Charter, and the CRA Action Committee for United Bank, being recognized as one of Wilson, NC's 19 Leaders Under 40 by the Wilson Times for the Wilson Magazine, being recognized as a North Carolina Young Banker's monthly mentor, being spotlighted as an Ambassador of the month for the Wilson Chamber of Commerce, being the spokesperson for the Wilson Chamber of Commerce's Executive Academy, being invited and inducted into the Nu Theta Chapter of the Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society, serving as a member of the FBLA-Phi Beta Lambda, Professional Division for NC, becoming a weekly Columnist for "The Carolinian" and initiating the idea of creating the North Carolina Bankers Association's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council in 2020.
