I’m a gaps and overlaps person. I live in and love the grey zone. Both of these statements inform how I think, speak, and the actions I take.
I am a patient, caregiver, and Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) advocate. I live with Alopecia Areata - an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss - and a mental health diagnosis. I am the mother of an insightful teen with a razor sharp mind who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of thirteen. I cared for a man who chose an assisted death less than a year after a diagnosis of stage four colon cancer.
I’m a bureaucrat by day. I knit to keep my hands busy. I love stones, on their own or as adornments. I’m heavily tattooed. I weave stories, most often with my fingers on a keyboard.
