What I do
Practice focuses on vulnerable children in the Deep South, stopping the school to prison pipeline, ensuring equal access to education for children in poverty and those with disabilities and ensuring access to mental health services.

Who I Come From
Grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, as a child of lifelong human and civil rights activists — mom was the principal organizer of the 1967 Pentagon Demonstration to end the war in Vietnam and dad, a Freedom Rider and a leader in the Nashville Student Movement, SNCC and SCLC and key strategist and initiator of the 1963 Birmingham Children’s Crusade and the Selma to Montgomery march that later became known as “Bloody Sunday.”
