Topics I’m into:
◈ Self-awareness and emotional growth. I’m a man who very much is in touch with his feelings.
◈ SATB singing groups. I’m in two: ScaleAbility and The Art Mob. How do you pick songs? What kind of terrible parody lyrics have you written?
◈ Karaoke. Some people sing for fun. I sing to win.
◈ UI/UX. Using technology to build interfaces that squishy humans can understand is a challenge, and not often well done.
◈ Macintosh programming. Carbon. Cocoa. Toolbox. m68k. PPC. x86. Arm. Been doing it since the mid 1990s, professionally since 1998.
◈ Apple II. Forever. Assembling 6502 by hand.

Topics I’m not into:
◈ Technology for technology’s sake. Without checking in with a concern for humanity, it risks being unethical, unwise, and dangerous.
◈ Blockchain. Really, the only decent use that I’ve seen is CT.
◈ Proof-of-work cryptocurrency (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum). Climate change is real. The planet is dying. You don’t need to help it die faster.
◈ Smart contracts (e.g. NFTs). Neither smart nor contracts. Law is there for a reason.

Topics that are top of mind that I’m exploring:
◈ Emotional healing via entheogens. I’m no psychonaut, but right now they seem to be one of the few paths forward for me that might have the strength to unravel the pain.
◈ Energy/magic. I went through some kind of awakening about three years ago that didn’t fully engage. There’s something there, but I’m still trying to figure out what it is and how to connect to it.
◈ Masculinity. What does it mean to be a “man”?
