Bio

After exploring journalism, I joined the government service of Pakistan and served in the ministry of Foreign Affairs for over 35 years. I travelled the world during the years which took me to Toronto, Ankara, Manila, London, Rabat, Amman and Jakarta. In my last three postings I served as the Ambassador of Pakistan in these amazing capitals. Following my retirement I have been involved with some voluntary work through my association with Global Thinkers Forum as a Mentor and Non Executive Member, All Pakistan Music Conference Karachi as an Executive Committee member and now as its Chair. In addition I am serving as an Advisor on Joy of Urdu , a bilingual forum for the propagation of Urdu language specially amongst the young who are losing touch with their language for various reasons. I am also member of a social awareness group Kasur Hamara Hai founded by a group of citizens following a heinous crime committed on a young girl in the city of kasur. We aim at creating a Zainab Alert system where all young lives who are abducted or stolen can be reported instantaneously and a country wide search be launched. I am also a member of the English Speaking Union, Karachi Chapter. I can safely say that my travelings have added to my personality and what I am today. I still love to travel
and explore. The friends I made thus are also a treasure which I hold dear.
