Bio

🥁Teacher and Percussionist, Music Theory and Composition 🎼

Studied with: Trevor Tomkins; (Royal Academy of Music) Mal Garrett (Royal Birmingham Conservatoire) and Jim Chapin, one of America’s top percussion educationalists. Previously working as a session musician; three years working aboard cruise ships such as the QE2, travelling to various places such as New York ,Caribbean Islands and Africa. Playing with the 'Memphis Belle Big Band' tribute to Glen Miller. Four years in Jersey, C.I. backing a cabaret floor show. Session musician at various venues, including; the N.E.C Birmingham and the British Grand Prix, Silverstone. Also playing congas and timbales in the latin band Alka Salsa, performing in concerts across the uk. Previous students include Josh Devine, Young drummer of the year and drummer with 'One Direction'. Ben Cullingworth who was playing the part of Ringo in the West End Musical 'Let it Be' and Lyle Burton runner up on two consecutive years for 'UK Young Drummer of the Year' 2018. Darron is currently at Leicester Grammar School teaching Drum Kit/Percussion as well as online teaching music theory and composing music for Percussion Ensembles and music scores. Recently studying advanced music theory with Dr. Whittle former head of music at Leicester Grammar School.
