Dr Ahmad Kamal Ariffin Bin Mohd Rus
Senior Lecturer,
History Department,
University of Malaya.

Primary School: St Nicholas P. Pinang (1974-1978)
Secondary School: Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid, Alor Setar, Kedah (1979-1985)

PhD University of Malaya 2006.

Specialized in Colonial, Urban and Social History of Malaysia.

Published more than 100+ publications on Malaysian History in various topics.

Currently researching on the history of contagious diseases in Malaysia.

My book: "Sejarah SPRM, Suatu Perjalanan", has been awarded as the Most Popular Academic Book by MAPEN in 2017.

More than 40 PhD & Masters candidates successfully graduated under my supervision.

Received several times of Excellent Service Award in University of Malaya.

Awarded the Best Blind Academician 2008 by Malaysian Association for the Blind.

Received the "Darjah Kebesaran Ahli Mahkota Kedah" from HRH Sultan of Kedah in 2016.

Currently is a Council Member of the Malaysian Association for the Blind.
