Bio
Chip Comins is the Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of AREI, Inc. — the American Renewable Energy Institute and the founder of AREDAY. He is President of American Spirit Productions, Managing Director of W Energy, LLC. and Managing Partner of S&C Capital, LLC. He has produced and directed both long and short form documentary films for educational and broadcast television markets, including PBS, Link TV, BET and Discovery Networks. He is Associate Producer of the 2015 feature documentary film Racing Extinction. A long-time advocate of implementing renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and climate change, Comins advocates a business approach to solving the climate crisis. In 2009 he produced 13 official side events at the UNFCCC COP15 in Copenhagen and presented at COP16 Cancun 2010, COP21 Paris 2015, COP22 Marrakech 2016, COP 25 Madrid 2019 and COP26 in Glasgow. He is honored to have hosted the 39th US President Jimmy Carter at AREDAY in 2014.
