Bio

Andrew is an ex-offender who has turned his life around, and is now actively turning other ex-offenders' lives around. For his inspiring life transformation and service to the community, he was conferred with the Outstanding Adult of the Singapore Silent Heroes Award 2020.

Andrew has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, and business development which also includes heading a SG-based advertising agency in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as general manager. During his overseas stint, he also served as honorary secretary of Vietnam's Singapore Business Group (HCM Chapter) where he spearheaded the rebranding of the business chamber.

Today, Andrew marries his corporate experience with his personal mission in championing the interest/needs of ex-offenders and the vulnerable at HCSA Community Services. He is also co-founder of Break The Cycle SG, a ground-up initiative that uses cycling to break the cycle of ex-offending. His next goal is to address the employment discrimination that ex-offenders face in Singapore during the hiring process.

Andrew is currently serving as outreach speaker with The Teen Challenge, and as advisor for the Ride to Restore 2021 by The Helping Hand. He is also a mentor with Bridges for Enterprises in building the capacity of social enterprises for sustainable impact. He had served as board of advisor for Architects of Life from 2017 to 2021, and organising committee member for The Unlabelled Run 2019 by The New Charis Mission.
