André Malcolm is a self-taught artist. In his early twenties he started his tattoo career at Tuff City Tattoos in the Bronx. Over the next seven years he worked in various studios throughout New York, including invisible nyc, black ink, daredevil tattoo, and fun city tattoo, before relocating to California to further his career in large scale Japanese style bodysuits. California has brought great success. André has continued to master his skill at premier tattoo studio’s like Analog Tattoo (ATAK) with Adrian Lee in 2012-2014 and Skull & Sword with the Grime in 2014-2016. André’s first book 100 dragons was published in 2013 and soon after he started “the greys” a global company specializing in carbon-wash tattoo ink.
- André expertise has solicited his invitation to conventions where he conducts large workshops on “The Art of Dragon Design”, Finger Waves on the Reinventing the Tattoo webinar. His most recent digital publication “Drawings by Andre Malcolm” is featured on Apple iBooks. He has been featured in numerous publications including TTT:Tattoo by Nick Schonberger which showcases elite, contemporary tattooers around the world, The Fingerwave Book v1 and v2 by The Grime & Craig Tóth
