From Immigrant to Stenographer to Peacemaker

In 1984, my then-husband and I traveled 5,500 miles from our home in California, USA by plane, jetfoil, and train to Leningrad, USSR to give birth to our baby as a gesture for world peace between the two nations at the height of the Cold War.

Details about our journey will be revealed in my upcoming memoir, Labor of Love: My Journey Through the Iron Curtain to Birth the “Peace Baby.”
