Hello,

My name is Alice and I am a clinical therapist with a private thearpy practice located in Denver/Capital Hill. I specialize in providing counseling for, children,  adolescents/teens, adults and families.
I am of both Black and Latino heritage and am proud of my roots. I have a passion of helping others and being a part of the healing process. Over the past 12 years, the thing I've admired most about working with adults, youth, children and families in various community settings has been their resiliency and tenacity. I've learned a lot from my clients and continue to be amazed by their ongoing growth and self-awareness when faced with adversity. I work from a strengths based perspective in which I see myself as an agent
of change to promote and facilitate emotional healing.
I would like to share with you a quote that is dear to me that I came across
during a service learning trip to Ghana, Africa. -Hye Won Hye- "That which cannot burn." This quote gave me the insight and awareness that we all have the ability to
overcome obstacles and adversity  and walk through the fire(Depression, Anxiety, Grief & Loss, Trauma) and come out with a resilient mind.

I have a current campaign promoting mental health awareness. My campaign, Healing is a Revolution-Mental Health Matters-Be Kind to Your Mind, represents the struggles in regards to how mental illness and social injustices can make us feel broken and in turn inspire us to overcome adversity with a positive mindset of strength, perseverance and determination self-love, self-acceptence and empower us to continue to March forward and walk in our power. 

A portion of the proceeds will distributed to identified organizations whom advocate and support the cause. In addition, my organization Resilient Minds Counseling Services, LLC will place additional proceeds into a scholarship fund to Advocate for and support  individuals & families who are uninsured and unable to financially access mental health services. It is my passion and mission to support my community in emotional healing.
