Ali K. Rizvi is a successful producer based out of California. Exposed to the entertainment industry at a young age, Ali found that filmmaking was in his blood. His award winning film SKIN, starring Jamie Bell and Vera Farmiga, based on the Academy Award Winning Short Film, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and played in numerous prestigious film festivals around the world, including the Berlin International Film Festival and The Tribeca Film Festival. The film was released theatrically by A24 and DirecTV Cinema, and was a critically acclaimed. His next film DRIVEWAYS premiered at the Berlin Film International Film Festival, where it was nominated for The Best Feature Film Award, and also played at The Tribeca Film Festival and Seattle International Film Festival. The film was also met with very favorable reviews. His latest film, HUMAN CAPITAL, starring Marisa Tomei, Liev Schreiber, and Peter Sarsgaard, written by Academy Award Nominee Oren Moverman, was recently selected to Premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September of 2019. Ali is very excited to bring SHAZIA to life and spread the important message of female empowerment and education to young women, and all children, in underdeveloped parts of the world.
