15 years in the education and Ed tech space spanning K12, higher education and workforce. 25 years in sales, growth and partnership roles. Father of four and husband to a wonderful and patient woman. Passionate about education, storytelling, Brazil and learning Brazilian jiu jitsu.

After an environmental science education, short stints sailing on a tall ship ⛵️and working in political media I somehow found myself in sales roles with technology companies in the late 1990s (streaming media and broadband telecommunications).

Those roles led me to a rewarding 13 year career at Discovery Channel where I eventually worked in the Education unit working mainly with K12 districts and eventually US and international Ed tech companies. Then I launched my own consulting company focused on growth strategy. I spent 3+ years at Strada Education working with our portfolio companies and serving as Interim President for one of those companies, CAEL, focused on adult learners.

I love technology especially as applied to education. 👨‍🏫 And I love telling stories!

Raised by a US Naval officer father and a Brazilian artist. I am eternally trying to improve my Portuguese. 🇺🇸🇧🇷

Blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training at Kogaion Academy. Spent 8 years breaking my body playing football and learning to cope through age and pain on a mat.
