Just listen,

The door swung open, her day must have been bad, Slamming down her bag, what has made her so mad?
I greet her with my smile, and just held her for a while.

Tell me about your day, we will chat the night away. I listen while she speaks, slowly massaging her feet.
I look into her eyes, not a word passed me by. As we laugh and cry, her worries we waved goodbye.

That was a day from hell, there is only one I can tell. Will he be home, if not I’ll be alone. I walk in through the door, almost falling to the floor.

He took me in his arms, with him I am disarmed. I talked the night away, without hearing about his day.
