Bio

My name’s Juan! I help organize the AI for Good Global Summit in various capacities and lead the team that roadmaps and creates tech communications on how AI can help us build a better world. I’m also the host of “AI for Good: On the Go”, our fireside chat series of AI and the human experience.

I'm an engineer specializing in computer graphics, physics and AI. I am a volunteer leader in the Association for Computing Machinery, active in:
- ACM SIGGRAPH
- ACM Practitioner Board
- ACM Professional Development Committee
- ACM Future of Computing Academy
- ACM Technology Policy Council's Tech Briefs

I was an undergraduate researcher advised by Dr. James F. O'Brien for computer graphics and physics simulation (Academy Sci-Tech Award 2016), was mentored by Dr. Brian Whited at Walt Disney Animation Studios (Academy Sci-Tech Award 2017), worked at Pixar Animation Studios, Google Spotlight Stories, Facebook/Oculus, and studied under four-time Academy Award winner Mark Berger for Film Sound Production.
