Driven to combat injustice, slavery, and human trafficking, I have drawn upon my military training, technology access, and leadership skills to launch programs to recover children who have fallen victim to modern slavery. For a decade, I have built a global coalition, raised funds, and spearheaded investigations and rescue operations throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States. Working with government agencies, I provide training, program administration, and mission leadership, resulting in large numbers of rescues and rehabilitation operations across many regions.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, I have served as a senior policy advisor and program leader for the Bexar County Commissioners Court (Texas). Working with the emergency powers, joint task forces and operations command, I write policy and implement programs to respond to the numerous medical and economic hardships experienced because of the pandemic.
Among these, I worked with commissioners to write grants to procure an Urban farm that produces thousands of pounds of fresh food for citizens experiencing food insecurity. Assessing the specific needs of marginalized communities, I authored and coordinated the social services operational plan across central Texas to allocate millions of dollars of support to provide food, shelter, and medical attention for seniors and vulnerable people, displaced immigrants, including the undocumented population.
